Skinny teen. Where can I find a bowflex workout routine?

I know nothing about the shit i read online. I need to do some more research on what else it takes to get some damn weight on me. Confidently over 6 feet tall just barely 135 lbs. Embarrassing, but only one solution right? I have a bowflex machine and while i know it takes more than some working out to actually build, but this is my first step. i am ready to stop complaining about being so skinny. Where can i get a routine and learn how to use this damn bowflex already. It’s being wasted in my garage. If you have some ideas or advice I would greatly appreciate it. Oh! and is a bowflex enough of a at home gym to transform?

I am 15 and i’m not fat, i just never worked out before and I am trying to get bigger. I Just started using it today and I am doing the 20 minute workout thing. Could it get me buff if i keep doing it?

I am a junior in High School planning to apply to the naval academy so I need to be in very good shape. I run and do push ups everyday, but I want to get some sort of Workout system. SHould I get a bowflex or just some freeweights? If I should get freeweights, please tell me what I should get, and please dont recommend the P90X. I dont need a detailed nutrition plan and workout DVDs. Thanks!

What are the best workout machines?

So I’m looking for the best workout machines. I currently workout routinely on my friends gym, but it’s starting to get inconvenient to commute so I want to buy my own. I’m already pretty built/strong and I’m looking for something that will keep me strong without gaining too much muscle bulk. Any suggestions? Also I’ve heard that Bowflex is actually a really crappy machine is that true?

I want to get one, probably the least expensive one, but i might buy the next one up. I use to weight train all the time, I was in really good shape. I want to be healthy and it’s hard to workout cause it’s sooo cold here most of the year. Assuming I know how to lift correctly and I would do it on a regular basis do you think the money to purchase one would be worth it? Please people that actually have bought one.

I have a bowflex and regluar free weights. should i work out with one before the other?

hi, im 14 and well i have a really WEAK upper body, i have like no muscles in my are and like almost no upper body strenghth. well i want to start of with my abs.( i had surgery the day i was born, some condition i had where my intestines were growing on an attached sack outside my body, but thats over and im fine.) there is scar tissue and of course the scar. so, what could yoiu recommend for abs and bor my body…. (btw i have strong legs)

i also have the total gym, and the Bowflex home gym, for a heads up

I wanna get some muscles. What’s a good way to build-muscles. Isometrics (Charles Atlas), Bowflex, or military style, push-ups, pull-ups, etc. What works best and do they work. What’s a good way to keep on task?
I weigh a whopping 125lbs (=D) so I do need to gain weight. But not "fatness." So looking muscular is just as important as weighing as couple more pounds.
Pass this question on too, not that your answers are bad. But I want as many opinions as I can get.

I’m 15 years old, 6′6”, and about 325 pounds.

I never cared about my weight and never did anything about it, but now I am. I’m doing this at the moment:
-Got a Bowflex
-Eating healthy meals
-(Pretty soon) going to the YMCA.
-About three hours (not all at once) workout time

How much weight do you think I will lose by the end of Summer if I continue?

How long should it take me to transform my body using this method and the Bowflex Ultimate 2?

I am 18 years old, about 5′5 and around 120 pounds. I’ve never been fat or overweight but I have some soft features around my lower stomach I would like to eliminate as well as my thighs. I recently got a Bowflex Ultimate 2 and I’ve been using it regularly, about four or five times a week but I don’t workout as long as I probably should. I do between 50 and a 100 reps with my arms and around 30 or 40 with my legs until they wear out. I use a yoga ball to do crunches and I do only about 30 a day. I’ve also changed my diet completely. My body is accustomed to taking in thousands of calories everyday mostly junk food and sugar and at random intervals and in large quantities. Now I’ve cut all sodas out of my diet and most all sugars. I eat three times a day starting with some raisin bran cereal or a banana for breakfast, a light lunch usually involving vegetables and then a dinner of whatever I can find that isn’t too far on the unhealthy side. I don’t do any running as I know I should but with my exercise routine and eating schedule how long should it take me to lose around ten or twenty pounds and tone my arms, legs and stomach?

idk ever since i was a kid there has been 1 rule

Tv is complete bull shit and i gotta think for myself
same with commercials and ads and janx

sooo i saw a blowflex commercial, and i started to wonder
maybe america started to change, maybe theres less bull on TV nowadays
i still dont believe that price or w.e.

but really does it work??? im thinking of buying it if it really actually works, of course i have to work hard but id rather use the total body bow flex instead of running, ghetto home workouts, pull up bar, and a pair of 25 lb dumbbells.

abs, treadmill with incline, no incline, bowflex treadclimber, help?

Ok, so I know that to see your abs you have to burn lots of fat and eat very healthy,
I eat very healthy and walk on 4.5 mph on the tread w/o incline everyday and do pilates for 15 mins 2 days on 2 days off from a video which does burn my abs, I do one type of pilates one week and other the next week,
so to see my abs would it be better if I bought a treadmill with incline to burn more cals or what about the bowflex treadclimber,(I think is this one the one on the commercial that says that it burns more cals than a treadmill and is easy on the knees) I want something that is easy on the knees as I see my workout to be in my future and not mess up my joints, I’m 21 and I’m looking for a long time work-out, thanks
I think I’m gonna sell my treadmill cause I didn’t know about the incline stuff and my treadmill has no incline, so would incline get me better results, the answer is probably yes but just wondering as to my abs, not my legs my whole body is very well toned, is just my tummy I want to go away

I’m extremely tall and scrawny and can’t stand the taste of protein shakes to save my life. I have a very limited budget and a bowflex. How do I go about easily gaining muscle mass and, if possible, what would be a good workout regiment for me to start on?

I want to get some workout equipment at home. I want something for:

Abs
Arms
Back

I know it depends how you workout but still can you tell me what’s actually a good piece of equipment. Please provide support for your answer if possible, I know TV makes them all look great but I’m sure some aren’t as good. I’m not loaded with money but I can pay for good equipment. Please post some info on good products to suit to the areas I want to work on (abs, arms, back)

If you can provide links to the products info and price and where to buy that would be great.

First- Will it do teenagers any good? (I’ve heard teenagers cannot grow muscles or just shouldn’t,)
Will it make teenage man boobs go away?
Is bowflex better at making abs, bigger arms, or bigger chest? (If you can can you please tell me what workout or machine to use for each category?)
Being a teenager, do you have to watch you diet ?
Being a teenager, should I even buy a bowflex or do something else?

Outside of some (slight) man boobs I am actually pretty skinny.

How To Lose Weight and Get Slimmer Thighs/Butt?

ok…i really need to lose weight! and im not just calling myself fat…i really am! and im like at risk for some diseases and stuff…and im just NOT HEALTHY!! so…i was wondering if you could answer some of my questions:
1. is there any diet that really works that will help me lose weight fast? ((im a vegan…so nothing that involves meat, dairy, or eggs products!))
2. what foods should i stay away from while dieting?
3. what foods should i eat more of while dieting?
4. how many small meals should i have a day?
5. what should my work out routine consist of? ((i have an elliptical, treadmill, bowflex, bike, etc))

I am 15 almost 16 yrs old, about 5′ 2”, and 98 lbs.(I know, I am really lightweight.) I am looking for a routine that works upper body, lower body, and core abdominals. Something medium intensity and that I can do on my dad’s bowflex.

hi, im a 22 year old male….im just over 5"11 and weigh 195 pounds.. truth is my body is almost all flab, sad but i never took care of myself… now im really serious, been using bowflex for 2 weeks, but in chest i just dont see or feel any results, i do it correctly, proper weight, proper form, and feel a little burning in my chest during workout, but after workout nothing, and still man boobs…. since i really have no chest muscle, and my man boobs are still as big as ever, should i not do resistance training on my chest and do pushups instead?? i would still use bowflex for arms, and everything else, just not chest… please let me know…

i’m about 120-125 pounds i’m 5′5 i workout about 4-5 times a week either jogging like 4-5 miles or doing the bowflex treadclimber for an hour and doing dumbells and situps, stuff like that. i usually workout in the morning. days im active i usually eat about 2500 cals and days off i eat about 2000. is this ok to maintain my weight? my diet is pretty healthy. thx!=)

I’m thinking about getting a bow flex wondering if there are any workout dvds for it? I’m thinking bow flex along the lines of P90x. YOu pop in the video, do what your told and bang a awesome workout. I have p90x and I want to go through the program this winter when I will have the time to do it properly but I think I would only do the p90x during the winter as it is quite time consuming (I’m not a 6/7 days a week workout person, I’m more of a 3/4 day a week workout person)

So Is there any good workout videos? Maybe a series of videos that I can follow and know that i’m getting a good workout?

Free weight Workouts?

Ok, I do not have a gym membership, or a bowflex or anything. I have free weights, light and heavy, and just stuff around the house.

Does anyone know of any good sites or routines that I can tone and cut with just free weights? I know almost nothing of how to work my muslces in certain areas, all I know is the basics. The bicep and tricep curls, the chest press, and stuff.

Hi, I am in need of a good workout for use on the Bowflex Sport to go from 200 lbs to 175 lbs. I am 12, almost 13, and 5′10 and weigh 200 lbs. I need to lose some weight and get stronger, and I need someones help to give me a workout that I can do like 4-5 times a week, heck even 7 if I have to that will get me results quickly. I am built to support a heavier weight, with wide shoulders and a size 13 shoe. I would like to lose 25 lbs here, and I need your help. I need help! Please answer only with a response to my question, thank you.
I’m not asking for types of excersises or people telling me i’m too young to use it, because I have to use it for some excersises anyways for my neck and head and upper body which I have issues and I have to do them for physical therapy. I need a specific list of excersises that can be completed on the Bowflex Sport for a good excersise a few times a week. Thanks.
